General information about rosacea: Rosacea is a skin condition that results in a permanently red face, especially on the cheeks, nose, and forehead. Initially, rosacea manifests itself as a reddening of the face, which does not completely disappear. The initial redness of the skin intensifies and reduces from time to time, but progresses steadily to a permanent facial redness, which in an advanced state resembles an inflammation (like a sunburn). In addition, the skin begins to itch, leading to uncomfortable pain. Rosacea often begins with the skin's tendency to sudden redness and progressively leads to a permanently red face in the center of the face, i.e., the cheeks, forehead, chin, and nose.

If rosacea is still developing, the redness that appears often disappears on its own. In the advanced stage of rosacea, the skin's appearance does not normalize again and additional symptoms such as pimples and enlarged or broken capillaries appear, which are clearly visible. Rosacea is a devastating skin disease that only very rarely regresses on its own and can remain forever and worsen without treatment of the skin.

Signs of developing rosacea: Permanent facial redness and pimples and pustules on the facial redness, which appear as red bumps and are sometimes purulent. These are accompanied by many tiny broken capillaries spread all over the face.
